On December 20, 2024, the MCAC deployed its air quality monitor at a location near East Boston High School. This monitor (TSI model 3783 Environmental Particle Counter) is the same model deployed by the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection and will provide continuous monitoring from this location for ultrafine particulate matter and other transportation-related pollutants. This information will be included as a data layer in MCAC’s data visualization tool that is in development.
