Zeke Mermell, AICP, LEED AP, is the Senior Transportation Planner for the City of Watertown, MA, managing a range of programs from its first mile/last mile shuttle to Transportation Demand Management to being staff liaison to the resident-led Bicycle-Pedestrian Committee. Originally an urban designer and transportation planning consultant, Mr. Mermell is passionate about developing the tools for communities to build equitable and resilient transportation systems.
Mr. Mermell has worked on redevelopment projects for the New York City region’s 3 main airports (JFK, Newark & LaGuardia), as well as highway mitigation study that quantified the emissions and disconnective impacts of nine limited access highways in NYC. He is most proud about working with members of the public in addressing traffic safety concerns and coming up with solutions to make our streets safer.
