Alice Stein — Chair, Environment & Health Sub-Committee
Swampscott, MA
Alice Stein is a mission-driven strategist and operator at the intersection of innovation, sustainability, and community impact. She brings over 20 years of experience accelerating business growth, driving operational transformation, and designing digital-first go-to-market models across technology, professional services, real estate/proptech, digital health, and education. Her work is guided by the conviction that meaningful progress arises from aligned vision, disciplined execution, and community-centered outcomes.
Her professional journey spans:
- Strategic Innovation & Growth – Alice has partnered with executive teams to scale new ventures, expand into global markets, and generate measurable revenue and brand impact by translating emerging technologies into commercial value.
- Operational Transformation – She has led large-scale change initiatives, streamlining processes, embedding digital tools, and empowering teams to thrive in complex environments.
- Digital Strategy & Ethics in Technology – She integrates marketing, sales, and analytics to drive brand growth while approaching AI adoption through an ethical, people-centered lens grounded in strong governance and future-ready thinking.
- Leadership, Coaching & Capacity Building – From leading a team of 150 sales professionals managing a $1B business territory (achieving 98% retention and technology adoption goals) to mentoring startups and advising institutions, she views leadership as the practice of developing talent, culture, and sustainable momentum.
In her public-service and professional leadership roles, Alice channels this expertise into community impact and collaboration:
- As Chair of the Environment & Health Sub-Committee of the Massport Community Advisory Committee, she focuses on the intersection of airport operations, environmental justice, and the health impacts of noise and air pollution on neighboring communities.
- She serves on the Board of Directors for the U.S. PropTech Council, overseeing Governance and Expansion, and as a startup mentor at the Wentworth Institute of Technology’s Entrepreneurship & Innovation Center.
- Alice is a member of Women Applying AI, a global professional network, and collaborates with the AI Blueprint for Massachusetts to advance ethical and inclusive approaches to artificial intelligence.
- She previously served on the Board of Directors for the American Marketing Association, where she was a two-term President of the Boston Chapter, and she also served as Public Relations Chair for the American Staffing Association, strengthening national visibility for the staffing industry.
- Earlier in her career, Alice led marketing and strategic growth for the startup philanthropy Boston Rising, where she leveraged technology to build a social network designed to combat intergenerational poverty in partnership with Boston’s leading change agents and civil rights advocates.
As Chair of the Environment & Health Sub-Committee, Alice advances initiatives that ensure community interests are represented and that key environmental and health data are collected and shared transparently. Working with MCAC members, Massport, the FAA, local government, and community partners, she helps strengthen communication, promote informed decision-making, and support outcomes that balance operational excellence with community well-being.
